All organizations have made a move to central dissemination of geographic data for rapid decision making. For emergency management, there are many considerations for data and enduser needs. This course gives you the skills to setup a geographic portal quickly and reliably before you are under stressful conditions.
- Why I built it
There was software. There was a need. That's it. I never took a course that showed me how to do this project. And therefore, it took a lot of trial, error, and many discussions to produce my first Geoportal. I know that emergency management deals with lives and property so I wanted others to have a shortcut to improve safety and emergency response.
